An industrial control system requires signals from the real world to be connected to IO modules capable of handling the type of various signals.

The G4 range of IO modules from Opto 22 are rack mount, single-channel devices, which provide direct connection to analogue and digital process signals.

The G4 range of IO modules allowed for a more compact IO interface structure than the original Opto 22 G1 IO series. An G4 IO interface is typically made up of separate modules and modules racks.

• Digital Modules – Single channel isolated input and outputs for the AC and DC digital signals
• Analogue Modules – Single channel isolated input and output for temperature, milliamp and DC current
• Racks – A range of module mounting racks on which the IO modules are secured. Racks are either analogue or digital, but NOT both.
