Our History

Founded in 1983, System Devices Ltd served as a distributor of Opto 22 control systems, I/O and SSRs. Shortly thereafter, we became Opto 22’s exclusive distributor in the UK.

In 2005, following a management buyout, System Devices Ltd became System Devices UK Ltd. Under the new leadership, we have built a strong reputation for delivering automation solutions, even where others may be reluctant.

Over the years, we have continually expanded our product portfolio with innovative solutions. Most notably, in the early 90’s we became the first UK distributor for Epson Robotics. In 2021, we were appointed as sole UK distributor for Asyril Flexible Feeding Solutions. Our long-standing partnerships with Opto22, Epson Robotics, Asyril Flexible Feeding Solutions and Weintek HMIs are testament to their cutting-edge innovation and leadership within the automation industry, alongside our strengthened relationship.

System Devices UK has recently expanded its automation portfolio through a strategic partnership with Mecademic, a leader in compact, high-precision industrial robotics. With this partnership, System Devices UK aims to deliver compact, precise, and cost-effective automation technologies to meet the evolving needs of precision-driven industries.
