SNAP analog modules are designed for harsh environments: all are transformer isolated and optically isolated from the field side to the control side. An isolated input module or output module offers channel-to-channel isolation, too.

The SNAP-AIMA provides two channels of -20 mA to +20 mA analog current input. The module does not supply loop excitation current. Although the two channels are not isolated from each other, the module is transformer isolated and optically isolated from other modules and devices.

SNAP-AIMA-iSRC

The SNAP-AIMA-iSRC provides two isolated channels of -20 mA to +20 mA analog current and also includes built-in loop sourcing capability. With the connection of a single 24 V power supply, the module sources 24 V for two 4–20 mA loops. The loops are internally connected to the individual inputs. The two channels and their loop sources are isolated from each other.

SNAP-AIARMS-i

The SNAP-AIARMS-i module provides two isolated channels with an input range of 0 to 10 amps RMS AC/DC. An ideal input is the 5-amp secondary of a standard current transformer used to monitor AC line current. The module may also be used to monitor AC current to greater than a 100-amp range, using a current transformer of suitable ratio.

The SNAP-AIMA2-i module provides two isolated channels with an input range of -1 mA to +1 mA. This module does not supply loop excitation current.

The SNAP-AOA-3 provides a single channel of digital-to-analog conversion. The module has a true differential (floating) output that eliminates ground loops and has a nominal output range of 4-20 mA. The module is transformer isolated and optically isolated from other modules and devices, and is factory calibrated.

The SNAP-AOA-23 provides two channels of analog current output at a nominal range of 4-20 mA. An external loop power source is required for the current loops. The SNAP-AOA-23-iSRC module provides two channels of current output with a nominal output range of 4 mA to 20 mA. The module includes built-in loop sourcing capability.

The SNAP-AOVA-8 requires a 24 VDC excitation voltage brought in through the field connector on the top of the module. This voltage is internally isolated with transformer and digital data isolators, and then used to source all channels.

The SNAP-AILC input module works with 2 mV/V and 3 mV/V load cells as a load cell front end. Using a separate 24 VDC power source (purchased separately), the module provides isolated 10 VDC bridge excitation for up to four 350 ohm or 415 ohm load cells.

The SNAP-AOD-29 module provides two channels of time-proportional output (TPO). The module converts an analog value, such as a PID loop output, to a digital on/off output. The outputs are used to switch or control DC loads such as lamps or indicators, solenoids, relay coils, and PLC logic.

The SNAP-AITM provides two channels of analog-to-digital conversion. Each channel can be configured for -150 to +150 mV DC or -75 to +75 mV DC, or for type E, J, or K thermocouple operation. Use isolated probes for thermocouple inputs.

The SNAP-AICTD provides two channels of analog temperature input from any industry-standard Integrated Circuit Temperature Device (ICTD). Simple two-wire connections are made to the pluggable terminal strip on top of the module. Although the two channels are not isolated from each other, the module is transformer isolated and optically isolated from other modules and devices.

The SNAP-AIR40K-4 provides four channels of analog-to-digital conversion, ideal for thermistors used in HVAC applications or for reading the resistance of potentiometer input. Default range is 0-40 K Ohms; the module can also be configured for 0-20 K, 0-10 K, or 0-5 K Ohms. Resistance probes must be isolated from each other.

The SNAP-AIR400K-8 module has eight channels of analog to digital conversion that convert resistance to temperature or to ohms. The module is ideal for NTC thermistors commonly used in HVAC, refrigeration, and process control applications. It may also be used with PTC thermistors in resistance sensing applications.

The SNAP-AIRTD-8U analog input module provides 8 input channels, each individually software configurable. This module is commonly used for 3-wire RTD temperature inputs but is also suited to high-resolution resistance measurements. It features open circuit detection if any wire breaks.
