SNAP-PAC-S2
SNAP PAC S-series Programmable Automation Controller with Four Serial Ports
The SNAP-PAC-S2 integrates seamlessly with PAC Project software, SNAP PAC I/O processors, and SNAP I/O modules to create a complete control system. This comprehensive system covers digital and analog control, serial string handling, PID loops, and enterprise connectivity. You can easily program it using the included PAC Control software, a flowchart-based tool designed for developing and debugging control strategies on your computer. Once your strategy is ready, simply download it to the PAC, where it runs autonomously.

FAQs
What is the SNAP-PAC-S2 used for?
The SNAP-PAC-S2 is used for industrial automation, process control, machine control, monitoring and data acquisition. It can control SNAP PAC I/O systems while communicating with other industrial devices and networks.
Does the SNAP-PAC-S2 support Ethernet?
Yes. The SNAP-PAC-S2 has two independent Ethernet interfaces, providing network connectivity for industrial automation, control and data communications.
How is the SNAP-PAC-S2 programmed?
The SNAP-PAC-S2 is programmed using PAC Control, part of the Opto 22 PAC Project software suite. PAC Control allows users to create and run control strategies for automation applications.
Can the SNAP-PAC-S2 work with SNAP I/O?
Yes. The SNAP-PAC-S2 is designed to work with SNAP PAC I/O and SNAP I/O modules, allowing digital and analog I/O to be integrated into an automation and control system.
What is the difference between the SNAP-PAC-S1 and SNAP-PAC-S2?
Both controllers belong to the SNAP PAC S-Series and provide Ethernet connectivity, PAC Control programming and SNAP PAC I/O support. The SNAP-PAC-S2 provides additional serial communication capabilities, making it suitable for applications requiring more serial connections.
