About G1 Analog I/O Modules

First developed in 1978, G1 is the first generation of digital I/O modules with plug-in racks for microprocessor-based control. G1 (also called “Standard I/O”) quickly became the world standard form factor for I/O and created the component market for computer-based I/O. Five years later we added G1 analog: the first optically isolated analog I/O modules with intelligent racks, marking the beginning of a new era in computer-based automation.

This module also provides transformer isolation to eliminate any ground loop problems. Nominal input is 0 to 5 amps. An ideal input is the 5-amp secondary of a standard current transformer used to monitor AC line current.

The DA3T provides a single channel of optically isolated digital-to-current conversion. Output current is 4-20 mA. This module is also transformer isolated, which eliminates any ground loop problems.

Temperature Input G1 Analog I/O Modules

The AD10T2 is a 100 ohm platinum RTD analog input with a nominal temperature range of -50 °C to 350 °C (-58 °F to 662 °F). This module provides a single channel of optically isolated RTD temperature-to-digital conversion with 4,000 Vrms of transient isolation.

The AD18T Type T thermocouple analog input module provides a single channel of optically isolated temperature-to-digital conversion. In addition to optical isolation, this module includes 4000 Vrms transient channel-to-channel isolation, which eliminates any ground loop problems.
