About Digital G1 I/O Modules
First developed in 1978, G1 is the first generation of digital I/O modules with plug-in racks for microprocessor-based control. G1 (also called “Standard I/O”) quickly became the world standard form factor for I/O and created the component market for computer-based I/O. The red-black-yellow-white color-coding scheme Opto 22 designed for G1 digital was later used for G4 and SNAP I/O, and it remains the standard today.
AC Output Digital G1 I/O Modules
OAC5H
The OAC5H output module is used for controlling or switching AC loads of 24-280 VAC and has a higher current rating than the OAC5. Each module provides up to 4000 volts (transient) of optical isolation between the field devices and the control logic. This module is equivalent to a single pole, single throw, normally open contact (FORM A, SPST-NO, Make). All AC output modules feature zero voltage turn-on and zero current turn-off.
OAC5A5
The OAC5A5 output module is used for controlling or switching AC loads of 24-280 VAC. Each module provides up to 4000 volts (transient) of optical isolation between the field devices and the control logic. The OAC5A5 is equivalent to a single pole, single throw, normally closed contact (FORM B, SPST-NC, Break). All AC output modules feature zero voltage turn-on and zero current turn-off.

The IDC15 can act as either a DC or AC input, accepting 10-32 VDC or 12-32 VAC. All AC and DC input modules have a bridge-rectifier input. Each module provides up to 4000 volts (transient) of optical isolation between the field inputs and the output side of the circuit.

IDC5B
The IDC5B can act as either a DC or AC input, accepting 4-16 VDC or VAC. Input modules are used for sensing ON/OFF voltage levels. This module is a fast-switching input module for signals produced by photoelectric switches or TTL level devices. Each module provides up to 4000 volts (transient) of optical isolation between the field inputs and the output side of the circuit.

IDC5D
The IDC5D is a DC input module accepting 2.5-28 VDC. The IDC5D is a low cost, DC-only input module for use in data acquisition applications. All input modules are used for sensing ON/OFF voltage levels. Each module provides up to 4000 volts (transient) of optical isolation between the field inputs and the output side of the circuit.
IDC5G
The IDC5G can act as either a DC or AC input, accepting 35-60 VDC or VAC. All AC and DC input modules have a bridge-rectifier input. Each module provides up to 4000 volts (transient) of optical isolation between the field inputs and the output side of the circuit.

The ODC5R is a Form A mechanical relay I/O module. This module was designed for a low-voltage DC load that that is purely resistive (no inrush current).
